Arnette House Non Residential Programs
When the pressures and stresses of family life become unmanageable, Arnette House is here to provide help, support and guidance. Our programs serve families with children who are runaway, truant and/or ungovernable by helping these families learn new ways to communicate and developing new solutions to overcome problems. Our professional staff meets directly with individuals or families to identify the cause of difficulties, and then involve the families in creating realistic solutions to the problems of today’s living. Arnette House’s Non Residential Programs provide a variety of services designed to strengthen families and rebuild relationships so that families can cope with stress more effectively. Services for youth ages 8-17 and their families include:

Centralized Intake
Arnette House provides 24 hour access to services.

Individual Counseling
Counseling for children and families are tailored to address their particular needs and includes a treatment plan that identifies social, psychological and behavioral goals. Counseling is provided at Arnette House or in the community schools.

Family Counseling
Counselors provide quality outpatient treatment programs that help families and children learn new ways to communicate and develop new solutions to their problems.

Group Counseling
Face to face counseling sessions involving two to ten clients who are treated at the same time to focus on behavioral issues, mental health issues and social problems.

Outreach & Prevention
Through street outreach, our staff works directly with young people on the streets to determine what they need and then provide or link them to those services. The primary objective is to build trusting relationships with the youth and provide education about the dangers of street life, information on local services and help with referrals.

SAFE PLACE
SAFE PLACE is a program that utilizes public/private partnerships to help children in trouble. Arnette House staff goes into area schools and talk to students about the dangers of running away and if the youth find themselves in trouble on the streets they can go into any building displaying the SAFE PLACE logo to get help.

Lake County Delinquency Prevention Grant
The delinquency prevention project is focused on providing services to improve school performance, strengthen families and address pre-delinquent behavior. Through offering at-risk youth counseling services in the school and street outreach in the community the project assists youth in remaining crime free and improves their personal academic success.
